Leeds United target Manor Solomon would prefer to stay in England should he leave Tottenham this transfer window, according to Paul O Keefe.

The football consultant posted via his personal X account on Thursday (22 August) that Leeds are interested in signing Solomon from Spurs.

A team from Spain, believed to be Getafe, have tabled an offer while other teams from England are also eager to make a late move, likely for a season-long loan [Sport 5].

O Keefe claims that, while there is interest from LaLiga, Solomon's preference is to stay in English football.

Manor Solomon would be good transfer choice for Leeds United

The Whites are in need of at least a few more players before the transfer window closes on 30 August, that much is certain.

There appears to be movement behind the scenes, which is of course a positive, but the clock is fast ticking towards the deadline.

Solomon's name has appeared to come out of nowhere, but it would be a decent piece of business if the Whites can strike a deal.

It is quite clear the Israeli does not have a future under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham, but that is not to say he is a dud.

The winger has previously impressed in the Premier League with Fulham, leading to his move to Spurs last year.

The fact that a LaLiga team is also showing interest tells you that he is clearly a talented player, but he does not appear to want to move to Spain.

That is something Leeds must take full advantage of, with the likely promise of starting fairly regularly across the next nine months another bargaining chip.
