Leeds United are likely to need promotion to the Premier League to sign Fenerbahce ace Bright Osayi-Samuel.

That is according to journalist Ben Jacobs, who has explained that the 26-year-old is attracting interest from the top flight.

The player, who can operate in various positions such as full-back and on the wing, has made 28 appearances for his club this season.

“Leeds' interest has been historical, so it's no surprise if they return,” Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT. “The player, should he make a move, and England is somewhere that he would be prepared to entertain, would ideally be looking for Premier League football, from what I'm told anyway.

“So if Leeds are to reignite interest in a player that they've tracked before, then it would likely, given that there is other Premier League interest, be contingent on them getting promoted.”

Can Leeds United persuade Bright Osayi-Samuel to come to Elland Road?

Leeds are certainly no strangers to versatile players, and they may just be keen to add another one to their roster this summer.

But it seems that they are not the only club interested, with a battle perhaps set to take place at the end of the season for the Fenerbahce man.

The Whites, however, may exit that battle early if Premier League promotion is not secured, with the full-back seemingly keen on playing in the top flight of English football.

The Nigeria international has already played in the country, having represented QPR and Blackpool in the Championship, and the latter in both League One and League Two.

In a remarkable career so far, he is now playing in the Turkish Super Lig, and is also into the latter stages of the Europa Conference League this season.
