Leeds United may miss out on securing the services of Tottenham winger Manor Solomon on loan, according to Shay Lugassi.

The Barca Times chief took to X on 26 August to claim that there are significant financial differences between the two sides.

Despite completing his medical, the 25-year-old Israel international's camp are exploring other options ahead of the 30 August transfer deadline.

Lugassi wrote: "MANOR SOLOMON UPDATE:

"The move to Leeds United is not certain! Solomon has completed the medical tests but there are quite significant financial differences between the clubs. Talks continue between the parties.

"The player's camp also does not rule out additional options before the window closes."

Leeds United must not give up on the Manor Solomon deal

Leeds might need to revisit their financial offer to better match Tottenham's expectations or structure the deal with performance-related add-ons that could make the financial package more appealing without an immediate large outlay.

The Whites could leverage the player's desire for regular first-team football, emphasising the role Solomon would play in their squad, which could be more significant than at other clubs, potentially swaying his decision.

Engaging directly with Solomon's representatives to assure them of his importance to the team's project could also help.

Additionally, Leeds might explore a compromise, like covering a higher percentage of Solomon's wages or including an option to buy, which could be financially deferred to the next season.

Tottenham appear to be wanting a decent payday despite not selling the Israel international outright and they're trying to strong-arm Leeds.

It remains to be seen if any other side does end up coming to the table to complete a last-gasp hijack.
