Leeds United agree Kristoffer Klaesson fee with transfer announcement nearly ready

Leeds United have agreed on a fee to sell Kristoffer Klaesson to Rakow Czestochowa in Poland, according to Nettavisen.

The Norweigan outlet reported on 6 July that the goalkeeper would be present in Poland to discuss personal terms and complete his medical.

If all goes to plan, Klaesson should be revealed by his new club as early as Sunday 7 July.

What are Leeds’ plans for the rest of the transfer window?

Leeds are one of the many clubs in England that are vying to make a plethora of changes to their team this season.

These have already started to take place with the £40million exit of Archie Gray and then the return of Joe Rodon for £10m.

The Whites will be looking to gain promotion to the top flight once again this term and seem to be in with a solid chance.

That is, as long as players such as Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter don’t depart during the window.

Although Klaesson wasn’t a regular starter having only appeared seven times for the West Yorkshire outfit, the fee he brings in will no doubt go towards Daniel Farke’s next recruitment.

Diego Llorente is also another of Leeds’ players who have been consistently linked with a move away from Elland Road.

The defender has spent 18 months away from the club and looks set to permanently move to Betis this summer with a fee worth around £3.3m being reported [Marca, 6 July].

It’s time to get rid of the deadwood.
