Leeds United: 49ers Enterprises get Jack Harrison transfer deal all wrong as return expected
Leeds United are set to welcome Jack Harrison back after his loan spell with Fiorentina expires.
The 29-year-old left the Whites in January when it became clear that Daniel Farke didn't trust him in their Premier League survival run.
Reports in Italy suggest that Harrison will return to Elland Road at the end of the season, with the Italian club's sporting director Fabio Paratici not convinced by him.
There are other players that La Viola signed in the winter transfer window, like Daniele Rugani, who they are obligated to sign if they survive relegation.
Paraag Marathe clearly messed up Harrison's exit, with the West Yorkshire outfit including an option to buy in the loan deal, and 49ers Enterprises have arguably got things all wrong.

Harrison's loan deal at Fiorentina includes an option to buy for around £6million, but it doesn't look like the Serie A side has any intention of taking that up.
And who can blame them — the Englishman has made eight league appearances for the Florence club, failing to score a single goal and providing just one assist.

The forward has undoubtedly failed to have an impact at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, but Leeds evidently had the upper hand when negotiating his exit.
It felt like Fiorentina were desperate to sign Harrison in January and the Whites should have included an obligation in the deal, just like some of their other transfer business.
Now, Farke will have to decide once again what to do with the winger, who will still have two years left on his contract at Elland Road.

Harrison's future at Leeds may depend on which league they will be playing in next season.
If the Whites get relegated, it wouldn't be surprising to see Farke or the next manager use the English forward in the Championship, as there may be a small exodus from the squad.
The 2025-26 campaign has shown that several players in the West Yorkshire outfit's ranks have the quality to remain in the English top flight.
With fans in LS11 set for a nervous end to the season, only time will tell what permutations are in store for the Peacocks.
