Glen Kamara ready to sign for Leeds United as Monday-night update emerges
Glen Kamara is ready to sign for Leeds United, who are still in negotiations with Rangers about a deal, according to journalist Dean Jones.
Speaking to GiveMeSport on Tuesday (29 August), the former Bleacher Report and Eurosport journalist reported that he was told on Monday night (28 August) that there are no issues in the last-gasp summer deal.
Jones expects Kamara to be a Leeds player before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Friday (1 September) and he believes the Finland international, 28, will be a good addition for Daniel Farke’s squad.

“I really do feel like Kamara is going to be a good fit for Leeds. Looking at their squad and their team selections so far, I feel like having him as an option in the centre of the park is going to be a real asset,” Jones told GiveMeSport.
“I know there has been a bit of an issue, reports over the price not being agreed, but the player is in a position where he is ready to make this switch.
“My information, as of Monday night, was that there were no issues and the negotiations were ongoing, so there is still real promise of that deal.”

How much did Rangers pay for Kamara?
Kamara was a bargain signing for Rangers back in January 2019.
The Scottish Premiership club initially signed the midfielder on a pre-contract basis from Dundee, meaning they would have signed him the summer of 2019 for nothing.
However, Kamara was doing so well at Dens Park that Rangers moved to seal the transfer earlier and paid a rock-bottom sum of just £50,000 for the ex-Arsenal player.
Rangers even boast about “one of the best value-for-money signings” on their official website.
Kamara’s since made 193 appearances in all competitions for the Gers, winning the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup in that time and also helping the Glaswegians reach the Europa League final in 2022.
There’s no doubt that Rangers have got their money’s worth out of Kamara – but will Leeds?
On 28 August, the Daily Mail reported that no fee has been agreed for the Finnish midfielder but the Scottish Sun claimed last week (22 August) that the deal could be worth £5.5million.
That’s quite a profit for Rangers.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are ready to pay millions for their next signing, according to Phil Hay.
