Dave is a huge Leeds fan and ardent disciple of Bielsa ball. A career in print magazines that included editing PC Zone, launching PokerPlayer and redesigning The Big Issue has finally led Dave to writing about the love of his life, Leeds United. It’s been a tough 2020 but the single scariest moment was the first quarter of the game against Man City. Rodrigo will be the saviour this season.

Former Leeds United goalkeeper Will Huffer has signed a short-term deal with National League North side Bradford Park Avenue.

Huffer had suffered from a variety of issues at Leeds, including a wrist injury and a hip injury, as well as colour blindness.

The club announced the news on Tuesday and Huffer himself said he was "excited" to be getting a chance at a new club.

Huffer said, "I’m really excited to sign for BPA and be able to help the team push forward and have a successful season.

"On a personal level, I’m grateful for the opportunity to play some football and hopefully I’ll be able to repay the trust by putting in some good performances."

Fingers crossed for a popular keeper

The popular 6ft4in Huffer made his senior debut for Leeds under Bielsa when he kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 win against Bristol City back in November 2018.

He went on to make the bench for the next nine games but that was his last senior involvement for the club.

He fell down the pecking order after Illan Meslier and Elia Caprile joined and his contract wasn't renewed this summer.

We're delighted that he's found a new home and really hope that he can put all of his troubles behind him and resurrect his career.

He looked a real talent for the Under-23s before his long-standing wrist injury and we believe he could make a solid back-up at a decent league level if he can stay fit and pain-free. He certainly gave his all for Leeds while he was here.

Playing for BPA and testing out his fitness could be just the chance he needs to get his career back on track.
