Leeds U23 player tags his location 10-minute drive away from linked club as reported loan nears
Leeds United forward Kun Temenuzhkov appears to be nearing a move to join La Nucia after tagging himself at a location near the Segunda Division B club.
Lledia Radio reported on their Twitter account earlier this week that Temenuzhkov, 19, was set to join Spanish side La Nucia on loan after snubbing the chance to head to Lleida Esportiu.
Temenuzhkov has now taken to his personal Instagram account to tag himself in the Spanish town of L’Alfàs del Pi, which is roughly a 10-minute drive away from La Nucia.
Temenuzhkov has barely featured for Leeds’ Under-23s this season and it seems as though he has been handed the opportunity to head out on loan to show he can have a future at Leeds.
The former Barcelona striker, who has previously been dubbed one of the best young players in world football and likened to Luis Suarez [Guardian], has only made one senior appearance for Leeds, which suggests that he was someone who Marcelo Bielsa had high hopes for.
However since his 11-minute long appearance against QPR in the FA Cup last season, we have not seen the Bulgaria Under-21 international get a chance in the senior squad since.
If he does well at La Nucia then he could have a chance at Leeds next season and beyond.
But, given that La Nucia play at a fairly low level, he’s going to have to really do well there to give the staff at Leeds second thoughts.
