Leeds transfer update: President blasts ‘fake news’ after new striker development
Leeds transfer rumours are currently in full flow as the Peacocks prepare for their return to the Premier League.
Daniel Farke has a big summer ahead if he is to be the first manager to keep a promoted side in the top-flight for three years.
Leeds United reportedly have over £100 million to spend, but with the quality needed, the Yorkshire side will have to be smart with their money.
Numerous players have already been linked to Elland Road, with the transfer window now just weeks away from opening.
Now, Leeds have received an update on their pursuit of striker Vladyslav Vanat after the President of Dynamo Kyiv blasted the media’s “fake news” surrounding his potential departure.

Dynamo Kyiv president Ihor Surkis denies bid for Leeds target Vladyslav Vanat
One of Leeds’ top targets this summer is Vanat.
The Ukrainian striker currently plays for Dynamo Kyiv and has been on fire throughout the campaign.
So far, he has netted 21 times in 44 matches as his team look to confirm their Ukrainian Premier League title this weekend.
As a result of his performances, a potential move has been touted this summer, with Leeds seen as a potential destination.
However, as rumours about his departure continue to grow, Dynamo Kyiv’s President has hit back at “fake news”, after claims emerged that Surkis was on the brink of leaving.
“All these are still just ‘fake news’ that have no confirmation. The club didn’t receive anything. If there are proposals, we will consider. Transfers are made in silence,” he told Sport-Express.ua (21 May).

Leeds United should avoid Vladyslav Vanat
While Vanat has a good scoring record in his domestic league, he has struggled against better opposition.
In the Europa League, the 23-year-old only netted one goal in eight matches this season as Dynamo Kyiv came third from bottom in the league stage.
If Leeds want to stay in the Premier League, they cannot by splashing out close to £20 million on an attacker who is unlikely to score more than six goals.
Every penny counts with the Premier League’s PSR restrictions, therefore, the Peacocks must be smart in the impending transfer window.
