Leeds transfer state of play: Done deals and what to expect before window closes

Leeds United could still do plenty of business in the final six days of the transfer window.

Daniel Farke‘s side have had a mixed start to their first Premier League campaign in two years, with a win over Everton, then a dismal loss to Arsenal.

The Elland Road outfit have spent over £100million as they try to survive in the top-flight, and there could be more incomings on the cards.

There needs to be a huge final push from the 49ers Enterprises group to ensure that Farke’s squad is at the right level to compete among the elite.

Who have Leeds sold and bought so far this summer?

Leeds’ first addition of the summer was Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer, and he already has a Premier League goal to his name.

The likes of Gabriel Gudmundsson and Anton Stach have impressed so far, despite never playing in English football previously.

However, Sean Longstaff, who has over 170 appearances in the division, has been restricted to just 33 minutes of action.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is yet to make a Leeds matchday squad after he was signed on a free transfer.

The Whites have let Joshua Guilavogui leave at the end of his contract, and several youngsters have gone out on loan.

The only player that secured a fee for the LS11 outfit was Rasmus Kristensen, who banked them a total of £5.1million.

What will Leeds do before 1 September transfer deadline?

Farke has made it clear that he still wants two more signings before the window closes, and one of those is expected to be an attacker.

A top-quality number nine is surely on the cards, and the Whites have been linked with Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz, but that move looks unlikely.

A winger may also be on their radar, with Strasbourg star Dilane Bakwa heavily linked with a move to the LS11 club.

In terms of outgoings, Patrick Bamford is one to keep an eye on, as he had been informed that he is not part of Farke’s plans.

Isaac Schmidt is another who could leave Leeds in the final knockings of the window, he has interest from Werder Bremen, and with Justin coming in, an exit could be sanctioned.
