Leeds transfer roundup: Willy Gnonto linked with exit as deal set to be announced
Leeds have yet to make any January additions, though several exits are on the cards.
Leeds are looking good for survival in the Premier League this season, but Daniel Farke will no doubt have been hoping to have those chances boosted with January business.
Unfortunately, those calls are yet to be answered, with the Whites having been very slow on the recruitment front so far this month.
However, there have been a lot of rumours surrounding players who could leave Elland Road, with MOT Leeds News rounding up the latest news.
Harry Gray in line for League One debut this weekend
Harry Gray is Leeds’ brightest prospect, and securing a loan move for him in January was always going to be one of the priorities.
Many assumed he would drop back down into the Championship, but Gray has now joined Rotherham United on loan instead, with the deal confirmed earlier today.
They sit in the relegation zone in League One after 24 games, already three points adrift of safety.
Beren Cross has claimed that Gray will be eligible to play for Rotherham when they face Stockport County on 17 January, with his move now confirmed.
Tottenham chief crucial to Jack Harrison deal
Jack Harrison looks destined to quit Leeds this month, with a move to Fiorentina looking as though it is edging closer to completion.
He will join the Serie A outfit on an initial loan deal, but they will also have the option to make it a permanent transfer at the end of the season, should they choose to do so.
Via the print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport, it’s claimed that the deal to take him to Italy has signs of a Fabio Paratici-led transfer, with his exit from Tottenham announced.
Harrison is already believed to have given the greenlight to the transfer, which could also be completed in the coming days.
Charlie Cresswell deal could land Leeds seven-figure windfall
As to why Leeds let Charlie Cresswell go, we can only speculate. However, the former Thorp Arch product is thriving in France.
The 23-year-old centre-back has three goals and two assists for Toulouse this season, having made 18 appearances.
Now, he’s again being linked with a move to the Premier League, with West Ham one of the clubs named to hold an interest.
Leeds hold a 15 per cent sell-on clause, and with Toulouse looking for around £17million for his sale, it could see the Whites pocket a healthy £1.98m.

Willy Gnonto linked with Leeds exit
Willy Gnonto scored in Leeds’ FA Cup victory over Derby, having been afforded very few opportunities to showcase his worth this season, or even last to some extent.
That lack of consistency in his gametime has seemingly attracted interest, with Inter and AC Milan both said to be interested in signing the Italian forward.
It’s claimed that the Serie A duo believe that Gnonto would quit if given the chance and would be willing to return to his home country.
From Leeds’ point of view, it seems unlikely they would sell in January, unless they had someone lined up to replace him, which, at the moment, they don’t.
Leeds United set to formally sign Leonard Ngenge
Teenage defender Leonard Ngenge has been training with Leeds since the start of 2025, with the Whites having agreed a pre-contract with him.
The deal was in place so that Ngenge could officially join the Whites when he turned 18, with that deal now set to be confirmed.
It looks as though he will be the first formal arrival of the January transfer window for Leeds, though he is likely to link up with the academy at Thorp Arch, as opposed to being integrated with the frist team immediately.
Ngenge’s transfer is expected to be confirmed officially sooner rather than later.
