Leeds transfer round-up: Midfielder could say goodbye, Buendia news wows pundit
Leeds United continue through the winter transfer window with a list of potential targets, but have not yet moved to add to their squad.
The Whites are flying high at the top of the Championship table, and while at the summit Daniel Farke appears content with his squad.
However, business certainly cannot be ruled out before the 3 February deadline, as MOT Leeds News rounds up the rumoured incomings and outgoings in the past 24 hours.
Robinson would love Leeds United to sign Buendia
Paul Robinson has admitted he would love Leeds United to get a deal done for Aston Villa star Emi Buendia.
The attacking midfielder has been on the periphery for the Villans this season, regularly appearing from the bench but very rarely starting, and has been linked with a loan switch to Elland Road.
Robinson told MOT Leeds News: “They’re the type of signings that excite fans. With the names being linked, you’re not going to get excited over a centre-half, but with Buendia, we know he can do it at this level.”
Daniel Svensson could be available for £5million
Leeds remain interested in Nordsjaelland defender Daniel Svensson, who could be available for as little as £5million (Philipp Hinze, 22 January).
The left-back is also wanted by clubs such as RB Leipzig, with the Whites interested as Junior Firpo is potentially soon on his way out of West Yorkshire.
Svensson recently made his full debut for Sweden, and can also operate in midfield.

Junior Firpo wanted by Real Betis from Leeds United
Real Betis are keen to sign Junior Firpo on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer at Leeds (ABC Sevilla, 22 January).
Firpo has not agreed an extension at Elland Road thus far and has recently missed matches through injury for Daniel Farke’s side.
Betis are also monitoring fellow left-back Alex Moreno but his loan from Aston Villa to Nottingham Forest provides a hurdle.
Josuha Guilavogui could already be bid farewell
Josuha Guilavogui could already be set to leave Leeds United, Graeme Bailey has reported (21 January).
The veteran midfielder, who has seven caps for France, was signed out of the transfer window in October as a free agent, providing cover during the injury absences of Ilia Gruev and Ethan Ampadu.
With the duo now having returned, the Whites would reportedly not stand in Guilavogui’s way if he wishes to leave in January for more game time.
