Leeds transfer round-up: Elland Road exit blocked as Strand Larsen surprise emerges
Daniel Farke is still hoping to wrap up some final pieces of business for Leeds before the 2 February deadline.
With just days to go before the winter window slams shut, Facundo Buonanotte remains Leeds‘ senior signing so far.
Meanwhile, a number of players have been shown the exit door at Elland Road, with the headline departure being that of Jack Harrison to Fiorentina.
Youngster Harry Gray has also saw a loan move away from West Yorkshire sanctioned this winter, although the 17-year-old striker has only moved across Yorkshire to sign for Rotherham United.
However, we could be in for a busy final few days of ins and outs for Leeds, with activity on both fronts beginning to ramp up.

Joel Piroe to hold off on Leeds transfer decision
One player who has been tipped to leave Leeds throughout the winter window has been Joel Piroe.
The 26-year-old striker has fallen down the pecking order at Elland Road following promotion to the Premier League, with both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha ahead of him.
However, he’s not been short of potential suitors this month, with the likes of Ipswich, Celtic, Middlesbrough and FC Twente all credited with an interest in him at various stages of the window.
But, an update shared on Wednesday has now revealed that Piroe will wait until the summer before making a decision on his Leeds future.

Piroe is understood to be desperate to stay and fight for his place under Farke, but it would appear that he’s not part of the long-term plan at Elland Road.
Leeds door opens to sign Harry Wilson
A player that has been strongly linked with a move to Leeds this winter is Fulham winger, Harry Wilson.
The 28-year-old is out of contract at Craven Cottage this summer, leading to heavy speculation that the Welsh international will be leaving on a free transfer.
Leeds are understood to be one of a host of teams queuing up to sign the eight-goal attacker, and they may well need to ensure they’re at the front of said queue.

That’s because an update on Wednesday has revealed that Wilson will not sign a new contract with Fulham, which follows the news that Marco Silva’s side have completed a deal with Man City for Oscar Bobb.
Football finance expert ‘surprised’ by Leeds’ Jorgen Strand Larsen pursuit
There could well be one big statement signing left on Leeds’ transfer agenda this winter, and it may well be in the shape of Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Leeds have been strongly linked with the Norwegian international, and have seen a £39million deal knocked back by Wanderers for him.
Football finance expert Dan Plumely is ‘surprised’ by how much Leeds are willing to pay for Strand Larsen, as he exclusively told MOT Leeds News on Wednesday.
“I’m a little bit surprised by the size of the fee, given the fact that there were rumours that Leeds would be quiet in this transfer window,” Plumley said.

“The interesting thing here from a transfer perspective is that they would be weakening a rival.
“Wolves look nailed-on for relegation, and although Strand Larsen hasn’t been phenomenal this season, there is an aspect of Leeds now fighting against just two other clubs at the bottom of the table if they were to sign him, as opposed to three.
“It would be a fairly significant fee for Leeds, so I’m just surprised at the figure.”
Leeds make Sebastiaan Bornauw transfer stance clear
It’s likely that a couple more fringe players could leave Leeds before the window shuts, but one of those isn’t going to be defender Sebastiaan Bornauw.
The Belgian centre-back only moved to Elland Road in this season’s summer window from Wolfsburg, but transfer talk on Wednesday has linked Bornauw with a move back to the Bundesliga.
Mainz are understood to be keen on signing the 26-year-old this winter, but it’s been reported that Leeds have shut down any suggestions Bornauw might leave.
He’s been an important part of the squad rotation, and hasn’t looked out of place at Premier League level when called upon this term.
