Leeds transfer news stuns Sky Sports pundit on deadline day: ‘Wow’
Clinton Morrison has urged Leeds United to sign a new striker in the final hours of the winter transfer window on Monday.
As things stand, Daniel Farke isn’t expecting any new signings at Elland Road before the 7pm deadline on 2 February.
Leeds were pushing to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves in recent weeks, but the 25-year-old Norwegian striker looks set to join Crystal Palace instead.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s recent purple patch has helped the West Yorkshire outfit create a buffer with the relegation zone, but there’s still a long way to go in the season, and it’s clear from the Sofascore graphic that the England international needs more help.

Leeds United would stun if they don’t sign new striker
Morrison believes Leeds desperately need a new number nine in the coming hours.
The former Palace forward feels that Calvert-Lewin has had to shoulder the burden of scoring goals at Elland Road in the current campaign, which evidently isn’t ideal.
Morrison would be stunned if the West Yorkshire outfit don’t sign a new centre-forward soon.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on 2 February, the ex-Republic of Ireland international said, “Leeds need a forward desperately. I think, too much pressure on Calvert-Lewin for goals. If they don’t [sign a new forward] then, wow. I think they need a striker.”
Farke confirmed that Lukas Nmecha had picked up another injury, but the German manager said it doesn’t affect the LS11 side’s transfer plans.
Noah Okafor and Brenden Aaronson have been deployed up front in recent weeks, and it doesn’t look like 49ers Enterprises have any intention of investing in another striker for now.

Daniel Farke to be relieved with player’s Elland Road exit stance
Joel Piroe has reiterated his desire to stay at Leeds until the summer despite continued interest in him on Deadline Day.
The Suriname international has been a bit-part player for the Whites in the current campaign, and it isn’t surprising to see uncertainty around his future.

Farke can’t afford to lose the 26-year-old, considering Nmecha and Calvert-Lewin’s injury history.
Piroe showed his qualities in the Championship last season, and fans in LS11 will hope he can play a part in the West Yorkshire outfit’s Premier League survival until the end of the season.
