Leeds transfer budget revealed by Sky Sports journalist, Everton star wanted

Leeds United are preparing for the summer window and could look to Everton to improve their squad ahead of the new season.

The Whites earned promotion from the Championship this campaign, securing the title with a final-day win against Plymouth Argyle.

Now the dust has settled on the trophy parade, attention is now turning to the upcoming transfer window with Daniel Farke at the helm.

The German head coach now appears to know how much he has to spend moving forward, with Everton being assessed for a potential signing.

Leeds United target Everton to kickstart summer spending

There is no doubt that the LS11 club are going to be active in the market to help build a squad ready for the top tier next season.

This could see Paraag Marathe and the 49ers delve into their pockets to splash the cash on a wide range of additions throughout the summer.

With that being said, Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett has reported (7 May) that Leeds have a budget of over £100million to help stay in the Premier League.

This could be spent on a number of different targets, with Everton striker Beto emerging as a potential target for the Whites.

It appears unclear if David Moyes and Co. would be willing to let the 27-year-old leave as the Toffees look set for a busy window of their own.

Beto to represent different option at Leeds United

It is fair to say that the Guinea-Bissau international would bring a different approach to the Whites’ set-up than what is already available.

The former Udinese striker is more of a target man than what Farke has at Elland Road right now, with Patrick Bamford the closest in terms of profile.

As a result, Beto would allow the LS11 club to play in different styles compared to how they can with Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph as the number nine.

As well as this, it would represent a big move for Leeds to steal a player away from Everton, who could prove to be direct rivals next season.

It will certainly be interesting to see if this deal will go through and what that means for the forward options already available to Farke.
