Leeds told to make offer for Dan James, pitches made - report
Leeds United have been told to make their offer for Manchester United winger Dan James, according to the Sun.
The newspaper have reported on their website that the Whites have made their pitches as they look to finally sign the Welshman.
Victor Orta isn't the only one interested though, with numerous Premier League clubs in the hunt.
With less than 48 hours remaining in the window, it appears as though all eyes are on James at Elland Road.
It looks as though a loan move will be the preferred option for all parties, especially given the reported pricetag.
The Athletic insisted late on Sunday evening that it would take an offer of more than £20million to get it done.
Leeds were said to have the funds available, but a loan with an obligation further down the line looks the likely route.
Smart.
James wouldn't just walk straight into the starting XI at Elland Road, so it wouldn't make sense to splash out the cash right now.
Andrea Radrizzani will surely only do that if a player was guaranteed to come in and start every single week.
Jack Harrison and Raphinha have cemented their spots in the past year, but having options behind them will be critical.
Helder Costa is warming the bench each week without coming on the make an impact, and his future is on thin ice.
Expect movement very soon, with Manchester United surely wanting this wrapped up before the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
