Leeds ‘to smash transfer record’ as Rodrigo Muniz reveal emerges at Elland Road
Rodrigo Muniz could become the record signing for Leeds United this summer.
The 24-year-old has emerged as a target at Elland Road as the Whites look to build a squad ready for the upcoming Premier League season.
It seems clear that Daniel Farke wants to add a striker to his ranks, with the Brazilian seemingly top of the shopping list in LS11.
If the German head coach wants to land the signing of Muniz this summer, the transfer record in Yorkshire could be set to be broken in the current window.

Leeds United table offer for Muniz to Fulham
With Joel Piroe winning the Championship Golden Boot, there is already positive goalscoring pedigree available ahead of the new campaign.
That being said, the Dutchman has no Premier League experience and could represent a risk to be relied on moving forward.
As a result, the addition of Muniz at Leeds could prove to be a wise move after back-to-back positive seasons at Craven Cottage.
Stat | 2023/24 | 2024/25 |
Appearances | 33 | 36 |
Goals | 10 | 11 |
Assists | 1 | 2 |
This clearly piqued the interest of the Whites, with The Athletic reporting (18 June) that a £26million bid plus £6m in add-ons has already been rejected by Fulham.
It is clear that Marco Silva’s side rate their forward at a fee larger than £32m, which may force Leeds into breaking their transfer record.

Muniz to become record signing at Leeds United
Last time the Whites were in the Premier League, they weren’t afraid to spend on big-name signings to help boost them forward.
This was showcased with the additions of Rodrigo and Raphinha, with the latter particularly excellent throughout his spell in Yorkshire.
Neither of these are the record signing, however, with Georginio Rutter taking that title at Leeds after signing from Hoffenheim for £35.5m in January 2023.
This could see Muniz cost upwards of that to be able to prize him away from Fulham as the summer window moves into a deeper stage.
It will certainly be interesting to see what happens with the Brazilian, and what that means for the likes of Piroe and Patrick Bamford in the coming weeks and months.
