Leeds target Igor Paixao to travel for medical after full transfer agreement
Leeds United have been applying pressure to sign Igor Paixao, who is set to travel for his medical in the coming hours.
The 49ers have been determined to provide the necessary investments for Daniel Farke’s squad this summer, with their opening Premier League game of the season weeks away.
The Brazilian winger has been in their sights since the summer commenced, with the 49ers looking to pull off a masterclass to bring Paixao to Elland Road.
With the summer window now entering its high point, Paixao is set to complete his medical in the coming hours.

Marseille reach full agreement with Feyenoord for Paixao
The most recent development on the Paixao file is one that Leeds fans would have hoped not to be their reality.
As reported by Fabrice Hawkins on Monday (28 July), Marseille have reached a full agreement with Feyenoord to sign Paixao. It is understood that he has been authorised to travel to France for his medical.
Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |

This will come as a devastating blow for United, who mere hours ago were convinced that the Brazilian would land at Elland Road this summer.
Leeds still have a lot to look forward to
While the recent news has thrown a spanner into the works, Leeds’ recruitment has been something to admire during the past couple of weeks.
Indeed, Jaka Bijol and Lucas Perri seem to be the club’s chosen marquee signings, and while Paixao would have been a nice addition, the Whites can still compete in the Premier League next season.
Bijol, in particular, looks like the perfect boost for Farkle’s squad. The versatile centre-back is known for his efficiency in the air, composure on the ball and excellent tackling.
Furthermore, he excels in one-on-one situations and is extremely comfortable when playing out from the back. In the modern game, ball-playing ability is a must and is seen in most teams competing in the top division.
As a result, his raw skill, coupled with his vision and ability on the ball, will be a massive bonus for Leeds next season.
However, the Whites should still look to add another winger to complete their squad in time for the opening league game of the season. This is bound to take the team to the next level.
