Leeds talks underway to sign playmaker loved by Marcelo Bielsa
Daniel Farke will be hoping he can better Marcelo Bielsa’s Premier League record with Leeds United.
However, the current Leeds boss has a big summer ahead at Elland Road, recruiting the right players to increase his side’s chances of survival.
To achieve this, Farke has identified someone Bielsa was previously a fan of to come to West Yorkshire.

Leeds looking to sign Emi Buendia
Although he was linked with a move to join the Whites in the winter window, Emi Buendia instead opted for a loan move to Bayer Leverkusen.
However, upon a return to Villa Park this summer, there is the opportunity for another deal away from the West Midlands and Leeds are interested.
The Whites have held interest for some time, with Bielsa previously looking to gain his services back in 2020 [Daily Mail], before he made a £33million move to Villa, becoming their record signing at the time.
As Farke looks to add to his squad, unsurprisingly, the prospect of someone whom he already trusts is an attractive one.

According to TBR Football (1 June), the German manager is wasting no time in seeking a deal either, reporting that talks over the playmaker have already been held.
While there is also interest in alternative options, Graeme Bailey claims Buendia could go to Elland Road as he said: “I am told he is open to the Leeds move, Farke knows him and he trusts Farke.
“Leeds want this number 10 and they have options. They really like [Gus] Hamer too and have done work on [Gabriel] Sara – but at this point I think Buendia is the most likely.”

Leeds to benefit from Buendia
As Farke looks to find success with Leeds in the Premier League, turning to players that he already knows can produce the levels he is looking for is a positive.
The midfielder’s time in the Bundesliga did not go as well as he had hoped, but the chance to redeem himself at Elland Road could prove to be an exciting prospect for the player, too.
Given that the Whites have already held talks with Aston Villa over a potential move, it seems as though it may be a relatively easy one to strike if the 28-year-old himself is keen.
Farke has a big job on his hands attempting to keep his newly promoted side in the top flight and if he is to succeed, it does feel as though this is the right type of recruitment to be looking at.
