Leeds Super Fans deliver verdict on January transfer window
Leeds United went into the January transfer window wanting three signings – a goalkeeper, a winger and a striker.
Plans to get an experienced keeper changed after Illan Meslier’s fine display against Arsenal in the FA Cup.
After that game, Leeds decided to bring a young keeper in and Italian 18-year-old Elia Caprile was the first signing of the window.
Man City winger Ian Poveda was the next to come just leaving the big one – a new striker to replace Eddie Nketiah.
Leeds wanted Che Adams but were rebuffed by Southampton and with a week to go in the window, they turned their attention to Red Bull Leipzig striker Jean-Kevin Augustin.
After a whirlwind deal, he signed last Monday and Leeds said they were done.
That meant Leeds fans could sit back and enjoy the rest of the window without the stress of last-minute deals going wrong like Dan James.
But was it a success?
That’s what we asked our panel of Super Fans – this is what they had to say…

Jordy Phillips (@JordyP1993)

It’s a resounding thumbs-up from our Super Fans, although some would have liked to see even more players come in.
A new centre-back and a new centre-midfielder are the positions mentioned, and with Adam Forshaw still missing with a hip injury, Leeds have really missed Kalvin Phillips while he’s been suspended.
