Leeds summer signing destined for exit already after latest developments at Elland Road
Lucas Perri’s time at Leeds United could be over much sooner than expected.
Perri only joined Leeds from Lyon last summer for a reported fee of £13.9million, but he could be set to depart Elland Road at the end of this season.
The Whites shot-stopper was linked with a move away from West Yorkshire in the winter transfer window, with Besiktas one of the teams interested.
Rumours are still swirling about the Brazilian’s future despite the fact that the deadline passed over a week ago, and the latest developments at Leeds will do little to quell the transfer talk.

Leeds move ahead in race for James Trafford
Leeds are favourites in the race to sign James Trafford in the summer transfer window, if they avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The 23-year-old could be set for a move away from Etihad Stadium at the end of this season, after losing his place in the Manchester City team to Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Trafford only returned to City last summer, leaving Burnley to become Pep Guardiola’s new number one.

However, it hasn’t worked out for the Englishman, and he is now potentially seeking regular football to aid his development.
If Trafford does decide to depart, then Elland Road could be his destination, but only if Daniel Farke’s side maintain their top-flight status.
James Trafford move allows Leeds to offload Lucas Perri
If Leeds do manage to get a deal for Trafford over the line, it will allow the Whites to offload one of their current keepers.
Perri seems like the most obvious candidate to depart, given his shaky start to life in West Yorkshire.
The Brazilian has been first choice for the majority of the season, making 16 Premier League appearances in total.
However, after Perri made a big error in Leeds’ 4-3 defeat to Newcastle United, he was dropped to the bench by Farke.
Karl Darlow has started each of the last six games and is now clearly the preferred option in between the sticks.
As for Perri, his days at Elland Road could be numbered, and the addition of Trafford would surely confirm his exit.
For now, though, the only focus for Leeds is maintaining their Premier League status for another season, which they are well on course to achieving.
