Leeds submit ‘official bid’ to beat Nottingham Forest to late winter signing
Leeds have had a relatively quiet winter transfer window so far.
Facundo Buonanotte joined Leeds on loan from Brighton, while Leonard Ngenge’s signing is seen as one for the future.
The most notable exit of the window is Jack Harrison’s loan move to Fiorentina, which will last until the end of the season, with the Italian side having the option to buy him for £6million.
However, the fans will be thrilled to hear that, despite their inactivity, Daniel Farke looks to be addressing the need for a clinical striker alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Leeds submit bid for Jorgen Strand Larsen
Wolves star Jorgen Strand Larsen has been strongly linked to Leeds this month as he pushes for a move to a fellow Premier League team.
The Dane scored 14 goals in the top flight last season, but has struggled to hit a run of form as his side remain rock-bottom of the league table this campaign.
The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath has reported that Leeds have submitted an official bid for the 25-year-old.
Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham are among the other clubs interested in the Norwegian number nine, and Wolves are set to demand £40m for him.
Leeds are believed to be working on a structured deal for Strand Larsen, with a view to it being better for their PSR position.
Strand Larsen would be an incredible signing, and if Farke can see the deal over the line, then Leeds would have a huge edge in the relegation battle.

The Whites are already eight points clear of 18th-placed West Ham, and Strand Larsen’s addition could propel them even further up the table.
Joel Piroe’s exit is the key to Strand Larsen’s arrival
Joel Piroe was linked with a move to Celtic, and although that fell through, there are plenty of other clubs in the Championship and around Europe that are interested.
According to journalist Adonis Storr, the Whites have a policy of one-out, one-in for the rest of this window, so they would have to facilitate an exit before officially bringing in Strand Larsen.
Despite scoring 19 goals in the Championship in 2024-25, he has failed to find the back of the net in the Premier League this season.
While Strand Larsen’s stats for this campaign don’t make for good reading either, he is at least a proven quantity in the top flight.
| Stat | Strand Larsen |
| Appearances | 20 |
| Goals | 1 |
| Assists | 1 |
| Expected goals | 2.84 |
The fact that Leeds have submitted a bid for the Wolves striker probably indicates that Piroe is on his way out the door in the coming days.
With Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha, Noah Okafor, and Strand Larsen in their ranks, Leeds would boast one of the most dangerous strike forces in England.
