Leeds sign Galloway

Leeds have signed another talented youngster – 17-year-old Carlisle United midfielder Josh Galloway, for an undisclosed fee.

The news was confirmed by League 2 outfit Carlisle who wished the youngster well on his move on Thursday afternoon.

Galloway didn’t make a senior appearance for Carlisle but did feature in pre-season and offers versatility, playing in the centre or out wide.

Galloway will hook up with former Carlisle teammate Liam McCarron who joined Leeds over the summer and will likely fight for a place in the Under-23s under Carlos Corberan.

Leeds Under-23s are unbeaten so far this season after a 3-2 win against Millwall and a 1-0 win against Ipswich.

That follows on from a hugely successful season that saw them win the PDL North title as well as beating Birmingham in the PDL National play-offs.

Their next game is on Sunday when they host Bristol City at Thorp Arch.

Meanwhile, the senior team host Swansea at Elland Road on Saturday.
