Leeds set for Jack Harrison PSR boost as £2.75m transfer reveal emerges

Jack Harrison is set to return to Leeds after his second season on loan at Everton ends later this month.

Harrison, 28, has made 71 appearances across all competitions in his two temporary stints at Goodison Park, scoring five goals and supplying four assists.

It remains to be seen what the next step of the winger’s career will be, with Leeds winning promotion back to the Premier League and Everton under new ownership ahead of moving out of Goodison Park to their state-of-the-art stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Leeds to use Harrison value to boost PSR situation

Daniel Farke’s position on Harrison remains unclear with the Leeds manager not speaking at all about the former Manchester City attacker at all during his 2024/25 spell at Everton.

There’ll be no active clauses in his contract this summer with Leeds back in the Premier League so the fate of the Stoke-born ace is firmly in Farke’s hands.

According to The Athletic on Thursday (15 May), Leeds face three options: keep Harrison in the top flight, sell him, or loan him out again.

It is understood that selling Harrison would be a considerable boost to the Yorkshire club’s PSR situation as his “current book value” is said to be around £2.75million.

Any sale north of that figure – which is highly likely due to Harrison having three more years left on his Elland Road contract and 168 Premier League appearances to his name – would generate profit for PSR calculations.

Leeds have £100m to spend on new signings, Everton star linked

Leeds signed Harrison from Manchester City for £11million in 2021 after he spent three seasons on loan at Elland Road.

He signed a three-year deal then, and in April 2023, ahead of Leeds’ relegation to the Championship, he signed on for another five years.

Leeds amortised that £11million fee across the length of his contracts, meaning that a good summer fee for him would enable Farke, managing director Robbie Evans and sporting director Adam Underwood to spend more of 49ers Enterprises’ money in on new signings.

It’s been widely reported that Leeds United have over £100million to spend this summer.

Everton striker Beto is a target, while the Whites will no doubt also want to address other areas of their squad.
