
Leeds race to sign Bilal El Khannouss concludes with medical booked
Leeds United want to sign a new playmaker before the transfer window closes on 1 September.
It was thought that Leeds might sign Facundo Buonanotte, but he has opted join Chelsea.
That leaves Leeds desperately seeking alternatives to Buonanotte with two days remaining of the transfer window.
Bilal El Khannouss was an option for Leeds from Leicester City, but it’s looking unlikely that he’ll be signing for the Whites now.

El Khannouss was one of the standout players for Leicester City last year.
The 21-year-old signed for the Foxes from Belgian side Genk last summer, having never played in England before, but he immediately looked at home in the Premier League.
It was thought that he wanted to remain in England’s top flight, although it’s now emerging that he’s flying to Germany for a medical with Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that Leicester and Stuttgart are negotiating the final details of a transfer.
That means Leeds will have to look elsewhere for a new star to play in the number 10 role.
