Leeds’ next new signing after Stach may have just been revealed as meetings held
Leeds United seem set to announce Anton Stach as their sixth new addition of the summer.
The midfielder played a starring role for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga last term, and the West Yorkshire outfit have been intent on making him a Premier League player this summer.
Leeds now appear to have Stach within their grasp, having agreed a deal to bring him to Elland Road on a four-year contract.
The Whites will pay a fee in excess of £17.3million to land the German, and they may already have plans for their next signing as their spending looks likely to continue.

Leeds haven’t written off Rodrigo Muniz
Rodrigo Muniz is another player who Leeds have had in their sights this summer, as Daniel Farke and Co. look to bolster their attacking options ahead of their top-flight return.
The Whites have previously tabled an offer totalling £32million for the Fulham frontman, only to see their approach rebuffed by the Londoners.
With the Stach deal seemingly set to go through imminently, the newly-promoted side have turned their attention towards Muniz as their next target.
Leeds had held meetings about the possibility of signing Igor Paixao, according to The Athletic (19 July), but the Feyenoord star has now agreed to join Marseille instead, as per reports from Sacha Tavolieri via X (19 July).
It now looks as though Muniz could yet be the next man to complete a move to Elland Road, with the Whites believed to still be viewing him as a potential option, despite their previous failed attempt to secure his signature.
Leeds need to spend big on a striker
It looks likely that Leeds may have to break their record transfer record to sign Muniz, given Fulham’s reluctance to do business at £32m.
However, it is clear that the 49ers will need to spend big on a striker if they are to have any chance of survival.
Joel Piroe claimed the Championship’s Golden Boot last time out, but his lack of experience at the top level of English football is a major concern.
Farke has few other options besides the Dutchman at the moment, and the Whites need someone of genuine Premier League quality to help shoulder the goalscoring burden at the top of the pitch.
Season | Apps | Goals | Assists |
2024/25 | 31 | 8 | 1 |
2023/24 | 26 | 9 | 1 |

Muniz could provide that, having blossomed at Fulham in the last two seasons.
It would undoubtedly be an expensive deal for the Whites if they were to bring the Brazilian in, but it is certainly a necessary one if they are to compete next term.
