Igor Paixao wants Premier League move

The Ligue 1 side were said to have reached an agreement in principle, but talks have since stalled, and Dutch football expert Michael Statham provided an update on his future.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, he said: “I have heard that Paixao would prefer a move to the Premier League as he wouldn’t like a move to Ligue 1. I would be surprised, though, if he were to swap Feyenoord for Leeds, given his high potential.

“If Leeds can pull it off, then I would expect a stellar season before Paixao shoots off for another team. It is exciting that Leeds are even linked with such a good player.”
