Leeds move for Jorgen Strand Larsen takes another unexpected twist amid fresh bid update
Jorgen Strand Larsen’s move to Leeds United may not be dead in the water quite yet.
Leeds United have steered clear of the bottom three in recent weeks, and much of that is down to Daniel Farke’s decision to switch to a back five.
Not only has that brought the best out of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but it has also solidified their ability to defend transitions centrally, forcing opposition teams out wide.
However, while everything is looking promising now, the Whites are still in need of another striker, having been linked with a move to sign Wolves’ Strand Larsen.
And despite reports of Crystal Palace having agreed a deal to sign him, Leeds’ chase may not be over yet.

Leeds remain interested in Jorgen Strand Larsen
With just one goal this season, many will question the £40million price tag that had been set for Strand Larsen to leave Wolves.
Even more questions will emerge that Palace have reportedly agreed a £50m package deal to sign the Norwegian, seemingly ruling the Whites out of the race.
However, that may not be the case, with a report from Sky Sports after the deal was agreed stating that Leeds are still interested in a deal themselves.
The report also reiterates the stance from Leeds a few days ago, which stated that they were expected to make a second bid for the striker.
At £50m, that may be hard to see, though it certainly appears to be a deal that can’t be fully ruled out of contention quite yet.
49ers have days to rectify summer issue
We were at the same stage in the summer window as we are in the winter window when we questioned why there was such a lack of movement on the transfer front.
Farke made it clear that he wanted attacking reinforcements, and yet the Whites failed to add to their forward options in the last two weeks of the window.
Calvert-Lewin‘s form somewhat softened the need for those arrivals, though Leeds are just one injury to him away from lacking the goals once again.
And if the 49ers fail to sort that again before the deadline on 2 February, more scrutiny will certainly come their way.
