Leeds make approach to sign Louie Barry in last-gasp Aston Villa deal
Leeds United have made an enquiry to Aston Villa to sign Louie Barry in January, according to The Sun.
The newspaper reported on 28 January (page 48) that Hull City look set to win the race to sign the 21-year-old before the winter window ends.
The Whites have made their interest in the striker known alongside Sunderland, Middlesbrough and other Championship sides after the Premier League outfit recalled him from Stockport County earlier this month.

Daniel Farke’s side have had an excellent season so far and finds themselves at the top of the table in the second tier with promotion a realistic aim.
With that being said, there are elements of his side that can be improved and at times, the killer instinct in front of goal has been missing.
Despite the positive form, at times, of Joel Piroe, both Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph have struggled to find the net consistently this campaign.
As a result, bringing in a talented forward like Barry for the rest of the season could prove to be the difference between automatic promotion and the playoffs.

The Villa talent scored 15 and assisted two during this season’s spell with Stockport and clearly Unai Emery and Co. want to test his ability in a better league.
Given that the Whites can offer a role in the side top of the table, it could be an offer that is viewed more favourably than a switch to Hull City.
In other Leeds United news, a doctor has reacted as an Argentine keeper has reportedly been lined up to replace Illan Meslier.
