Leeds-linked Sadiki says goodbye to teammates as £1.2m+ compensation revealed
Noah Sadiki has waved goodbye to Union St.Gilloise after being linked with a summer switch to Leeds United.
The 20-year-old had emerged as a target for the Whites as they look to strengthen ahead of a season back in the Premier League.
This comes after two seasons as a regular in the Belgian Pro League, where the DR Congo international was able to shine in a number of midfield roles.
Now the Elland Road club have learned of Sadiki’s transfer decision in what has already become a turbulent transfer window in Yorkshire.

Sadiki leaves USG amid Leeds United links
With Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka at the base of midfield, the LS11 club already have strength in the middle of the park before making any signings.
That hasn’t stopped transfer rumours emerging for a number of different midfield talents at this early stage of the summer.
This has seen Habib Diarra linked with a move from Strasbourg before he frustratingly opted to join Sunderland ahead of the Whites.
It appears that this has become a theme for Daniel Farke, with yet another target seemingly opting to join the Black Cats this summer.
This comes after Sadiki took a step closer to signing for the Mackems, with Belgian outlet Gazet van Antwerpen Stad en Rand reporting (3 July, page 23) that the Congolese ace was in training on Wednesday (2 July) to say goodbye to his Union teammates before his move to Sunderland.
The Pro League side looks set to land a fee in the region of £14.6million for his signature, after picking him up for a £1.2m compensation fee from Anderlecht in the summer of 2023.

Sunderland set to sign Sadiki
At some point, the Whites will be afforded a break to land a transfer target in the middle of the park before the summer begins.
Having now missed out on Sadiki, moves for other options like Sean Longstaff may be assessed by Leeds as desperation begins to kick in.

That shouldn’t be the case for many weeks as there is still plenty of time to go until the new campaign begins in the Premier League.
With that being said, it is still a blow to have missed out on the USG ace, especially to what is likely to be a direct rival in the relegation race.
