Leeds line up Celtic star Daizen Maeda as ‘substantial offer’ ready
Leeds’ pursuit of a striker this summer is likely to dominate the upcoming transfer window.
Daniel Farke needs signings this summer if the Peacocks are to survive in the Premier League.
If rumours are to be believed, a striker is likely the club’s priority, with numerous names linked to Elland Road.
Everton’s Beto has been linked to Leeds as his future at Goodison Park remains unresolved.
On top of this, Leeds have also shown interest in Jamie Vardy.
However, a new potential striker has now entered the fold as the Peacocks set their sights on Daizen Maeda.

Leeds chase Celtic’s Daizen Maeda in potential summer swoop
Surviving in the Premier League is no doubt going to be a tough task for Leeds, but a new striker could make all the difference.
Maeda is seen as one of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership and has netted 33 goals for Celtic so far this season.
Brenden Rodgers recently compared the Japanese international to legend Henrik Larsson, according to Onefootball (4 February).

Now, after an emphatic campaign, Leeds are being linked with Maeda in a potential summer swoop.
According to CaughtOffside (11 May), the Peacocks are one of several Premier League sides after the Japanese international.
The 27-year-old is valued at £25million, with Crystal Palace and West Ham also eyeing his signature and are said to be lining up “substantial offers”
Maeda has expressed his happiness multiple times at Celtic. However, it is unknown if Premier League football could sway him to England.

Maeda would be a top Leeds United signing
As it stands, there are few strikers who are in better form than Maeda. The 27-year-old has been scoring for fun across the border and should easily be able to make the step up to the Premier League.
This is the exact type of signing Farke needs at his club, and he would add pace and power to the front line.
On top of this, he would also likely give the Yorkshire side an increase in shirt sales given his Japanese heritage.
Hopefully, Farke can beat his Premier League rivals to get this deal done as soon as possible.
