Leeds inform Tottenham of Manor Solomon transfer decision
Leeds United have discovered a dynamic attacking force in the Championship this season as they gun for the title.
Daniel Farke and his team are looking to learn from their mistakes of late last season and ensure they get the automatic promotion task completed this time around.
Ahead of Sunday’s lunchtime trip to Portsmouth (9 March), the Whites have averaged over two goals a game with 72 and counting in 35 league games.

Leeds United make decision on Manor Solomon loan
Leeds have reaped the benefits of taking Solomon on loan from Tottenham Hotspur this season, with the winger having been cast aside by Spurs at the start of 2024-25.
Dropping down to the Championship but still within the pressurised environment of such a huge club with expectations the magnitude of Leeds’ has been a career masterstroke for Solomon.
The 25-year-old has now grabbed 15 goal contributions including seven goals throughout his 30 appearances in all competitions, cementing a regular place in Farke’s attacking force, and wants to add to his Leeds tally.
And the Peacocks have now made the decision that they want to keep hold of Solomon should they finish the job and return to the Premier League, according to Darren Witcoop.
On page 71 of the Sunday Mirror (9 March), Witcoop suggested there is a desire to secure Solomon on a permanent deal in the summer if top-flight football returns to Elland Road.
It appears the deal should be a straightforward one despite Solomon’s contract at Tottenham progressing until 2028, with Spurs keen to remove him from the wage bill.

Premier League pressure should soon return to Elland Road
Solomon has previously been described at Leeds as a player who could be judged between the Premier League and Championship in terms of ability.
That could be a phrase coined for many of the squad, and is for instance why there is a split among the supporters over whether a new contract should be offered to Junior Firpo – who has historically struggled in the top flight, but excelled in the second tier.
Leeds know that should they return to the top table, the squad will have to endure heavy surgery, having witnessed what continues to happen to promoted teams in the Premier League of late.

They will be intent on bucking the trend and re-establishing themselves in the division they belong, battling the elite sides on a regular basis and eventually working back towards Europe.
Solomon has proven he has the credentials as a top-bracket Championship player, and will be keen to show the full extent of his ability in a Leeds shirt again next season.
