Leeds in negotiations to sign Rubin Kazan winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Leeds United are in talks with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent as they aim to sign the winger from Rubin Kazan, according to POSTV journalist Lasha Kokiashvili.
Writing on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday, the Georgian reporter said that Leeds are in negotiations with “well-known” agent Christian Emile over a summer swoop for the 20-year-old.
Kokiashvili has previously reported that Rubin Kazan want at least £17.2million (€20million) for Kvaratskhelia, who scored four goals and supplied eight assists in 23 Russian Premier Liga appearances this season.

Star of the future?
POSTV’s Kokiashvili has shown himself to be a reputable source when it comes to Georgian footballers. Just under a month ago he reported that young Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili was set to sign for Valencia on a loan-to-buy basis. That deal has since been confirmed.
It would be fair to say that Kvaratskhelia is someone who excites us not only because there seems to be a good chance Leeds are actually trying to sign him but also because he’s a dazzling young talent who could light up a top European league in the future.
Kvaratskhelia was hailed by the Russian Premier Liga’s Twitter account last season for his “world-class” skills as he beat a number of Rostov defenders to cut in from the left and fire a shot at goal.
Just look at this boy! 🌟

While you may say that Leeds already have Jack Harrison to play on the left-wing, who can step in to replace him next season if he’s injured or his form has dipped?
Ezgjan Alioski is likely to be leaving, Pablo Hernandez is gone and Helder Costa might be sold.
That reduces Marcelo Bielsa’s wide options quite a bit and in any case, the Argentine loves to have plenty of wingers at his disposal.
Kvaratskhelia is a talent and his agent Emile is someone who knows a thing or two about getting players to touch down in the Premier League.
In other Leeds United news, Jamie O’Hara was shut down by a Leeds fan after he made a ridiculous claim about one of Bielsa’s stars.
