Leeds in last-gasp hunt to sign Chelsea striker Marc Guiu amid loan exit update
Leeds United are keen on signing Marc Guiu from Chelsea before the 3 February deadline, according to The Sun on Sunday.
The newspaper reported on 2 February that the Spanish striker could be set to depart Stamford Bridge on loan for the Championship before the end of the transfer window.
The Whites have shown an interest in the 19-year-old who has also been linked with a switch to both West Brom and Middlesbrough this winter.
Leeds United want Marc Guiu from Chelsea
There has been persistent interest from Elland Road in a new striker option throughout the current window despite sitting top of the second tier.
This has seen Cameron Archer be linked with a switch to LS11 but Southampton have remained firm in their stance against selling the Englishman.
As a result, it would make perfect sense for Daniel Farke and Co. to move on and identify different options with such little time remaining in the transfer window.
This could see Guiu become a realistic target after a quiet first half of the season since joining Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer.

The young forward has scored six goals this season, all in the UEFA Conference League, despite making just 12 appearances under Enzo Maresca.
This record in front of goal could be boosted if handed regular minutes in the Championship as the leading number nine for the Whites.
