Leeds identify Dominic Calvert-Lewin replacement as phone call made from Elland Road

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will surely have no shortage of interest in the summer transfer window if he continues his heroics at Leeds United.

The England international has scored nine Premier League goals in 19 appearances this season as the Whites look to avoid relegation.

Calvert-Lewin has been an exceptional addition at Elland Road, with talks of Thomas Tuchel now potentially taking him to the 2026 World Cup.

Daniel Farke has already signed Facundo Buonanotte in January, but the West Yorkshire outfit may not be done with their incoming business.

Jorgen Strand Larsen contact made as Leeds United want new attacker

Leeds have made a call about possibly signing Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves in the winter window, according to the YEP.

The news outlet reports on 16 January that the noises around Elland Road suggest the Whites are keen to reinforce their forward line before the 2 February deadline.

It’s been claimed that the West Yorkshire outfit have enquired about the 25-year-old Norway international, but sources believe most of the bottom half of the Premier League are interested in him.

Strand Larsen joined Wolves last summer, scoring 14 goals in the English top flight, but he’s struggled to replicate that form this time around.

Farke could potentially use Buonanotte in an attacking position, but it looks like the German manager is still keen on bolstering his options up front.

Elland Road hierarchy must be proactive about Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Calvert-Lewin was attracting interest from Manchester United in the summer before eventually deciding to join Leeds.

The England international struggled with inconsistency and fitness issues at Everton for a few seasons, but has managed to kickstart his career at Elland Road.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the 28-year-old be in demand next summer, and teams that will qualify for Europe may have a chance to attract him.

Calvert-Lewin is in his prime years, and while fans in LS11 have embraced him, the centre-forward will undoubtedly want to compete for the highest honours before ending his career.
