Leeds ‘finally seal Mateo Joseph fate’ as medical underway ahead of exit

Mateo Joseph is a player who has consistently been linked with a move away from Leeds United this summer.

The young forward struggled to get regular gametime for the Whites last term, as they raced to the league title in the Championship, and his situation has looked unlikely to improve at all this term.

Joseph has been tipped to depart Leeds for several weeks now, and he has been increasingly trying to force through a move away from the West Yorkshire outfit.

Daniel Farke is happy to allow the 21-year-old to pack his bags, and it looks as if the boss could finally be about to get his way.

Joseph undergoing medical ahead of Mallorca transfer

Leeds have been facing a constant battle with Real Betis over Joseph so far this summer, as the La Liga giants have struggled to make an offer that comes close to the valuation of the player.

The situation regarding his future has swung back and forth on numerous occasions, but now it seems as though it will be another Spanish side that wins the race for the youngster.

Mallorca have been growing ever closer to securing a loan deal for Joseph, who is now understood to be undergoing a medical on 8 August ahead of the move, according to Marca.

The Spanish U21 international landed in Mallorca on Wednesday, and it now seems like a formality that his move will go through.

It is also believed that if everything goes to plan in the fitness checks, the out-of-favour Elland Road star could even train with his new teammates on the same day.

Leeds will be glad to see Joseph saga reach an end

The saga surrounding Joseph’s future at Leeds has rumbled on for far too long, especially considering he was never likely to be a player who could be relied upon in the Premier League.

The Whites will be glad to see a conclusion to the whole event, and they will surely be pleased with the fact that they have been able to avoid agreeing to a permanent departure.

Joseph is a player who has bags of potential for the future, and although he isn’t ready for top-flight football just yet, there is a strong chance that he could become an effective option at the top level in the future.

However, for the time being, Leeds will be pleased that his future is likely to be settled, which will allow them to turn their full attention towards continuing to strengthen the squad.
