Leeds could sign Red Bull Salzburg attacker Nene Dorgeles amid developments
Leeds United could sign Red Bull Salzburg attacker Nene Dorgeles if they are promoted, according to Daily Mail journalist Tom Collomosse.
Red Bull made their foray into English football when they announced they had acquired a minority stake in Leeds in May.
While that has divided opinion among the Whites faithful, the Austrian energy drink company will undoubtedly have an influence at Elland Road.
Collomosse believes Leeds United could benefit from it, touting the Yorkshire outfit as a potential destination for Red Bull Salzburg’s Malian trio Nene, Mamady Diambou and Moussa Yeo.
Writing in his column via the Daily Mail website on 9 October, the journalist wrote: “When Nene Dorgeles, Mamady Diambou or Moussa Yeo moves on, don’t rule out Leeds as a possible destination, especially if they are promoted to the Premier League this season.”
How does latest Jurgen Klopp development at Red Bull impact Leeds United?
Collomosse’s column comes after 9 October’s announcement that Jurgen Klopp has been appointed as the global head of soccer at Red Bull.
The German has penned a long-term contract with Red Bull and will start in his new role on 1 January 2025.
It remains to be seen what the former Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund manager’s entry into the divisive multi-club ownership means for Leeds United.
In their official announcement, Red Bull clarified that Klopp “will not be involved in the clubs’ day-to-day operations”.

He has been roped in to develop coaches and support the clubs’ scouting operations across the globe.
Although Red Bull only own a minority stake in Leeds United, the Championship outfit could still reap the rewards of Klopp’s presence.
Any input or support from the 57-year-old would benefit the club’s push for promotion and the subsequent attempt to return to the top of English football.
In other Leeds United news, Joe Gelhardt will be made available on loan in January, according to Graeme Bailey.
