Leeds battle Crystal Palace to seal last-gasp Manor Solomon transfer agreement

Leeds United are still in the hunt to bring Manor Solomon back to Elland Road.

Attacking signings have been a must for Leeds all summer, though deadline day has brought very little success in that regard.

Leeds made an approach for Emi Buendia, though a deal for the Argentinian now appears unlikely, seemingly forcing the Whites back into the race to sign Solomon.

Solomon impressed at Leeds in the Championship, and he could yet return to Elland Road after the latest transfer update.

Manor Solomon return could finally be on

Solomon has been linked with Leeds all summer, and as per the latest report from Miguel Delaney on X, that interest is going nowhere ahead of Monday’s 7pm deadline.

Crystal Palace have also registered an interest in Solomon, whose future at Tottenham under Thomas Frank is looking very dull.

The 26-year-old thrived in the Championship last season, with 10 goals and 13 assists in 41 appearances, including one crucial goal in the final few games of the season.

Solomon knows Farke, knows the players, knows the fans, and perhaps most importantly, knows what it takes to thrive in the Premier League.

He spent the 2022/23 campaign at Fulham, where he made 24 appearances in all competitions.

49ers are hours away from Leeds fury

Solomon is looking more and more likely as the day goes on, but if Leeds end the day without at least one new attacking player, the 49ers will face the fury of the fanbase.

It will be hard to argue against that being justified, given what is at stake for the Whites this season.

Leeds are among the favourites for Premier League relegation, and this is the last chance they have to bolster their chances of survival.

Several more links will almost certainly emerge in the enxt few hours, and accelerating interest in targets is going to be crucial.
