Leeds approached over Vladimir Coufal deal as ‘truth’ revealed by journalist
Leeds United’s transfer window continues to gather pace as they prepare for the 2025/26 Premier League season.
Signings are no doubt needed at Elland Road if the Peacocks are to avoid the dreaded drop.
Daniel Farke has reportedly been given over £100 million to achieve this after their promotion campaign.
Leeds have already been linked with Everton’s Beto as they look to add more Premier League experience to their squad.
Now, an update has been given on their pursuit of Vladimir Coufal who is set to leave West Ham this summer.

Coufal’s representatives have held talks with Leeds
Ahead of their upcoming Premier League season, there has been reports that Leeds are interested in Coufal.
The Czech international had been at West Ham since 2020 and had helped them lift the Europa Conference League.

However, after falling out of favour this season, it was announced that his contract would not be renewed, and he is now available on a free transfer.
Now, according to Graeme Baily via LeedsUnited.News (13 May), Farke’s side are considering a move for Coufal and have already spoken to his representatives.
He said: “There is truth in that his people have spoken to Leeds – he is under consideration.”

Coufal would be a smart signing for Leeds
One thing that Leeds needs this transfer window is experience. Staying in the Premier League will be a tough ask, and the Yorkshire club needs players who are tried and tested in this division.
Coufal has nearly 200 Premier League appearances for the Hammers and has regularly played in Europe.
At 32 years old, he will not be expected to start every week for Leeds, but in the dressing room, his experience could be invaluable.
Leeds should get this signing over the line as it would be extremely smart and would cost Farke’s side no transfer fee.
