Leeds already decide what’s next after Strand Larsen amid ‘unique’ transfer opportunity

Leeds United look set to miss out on signing Jorgen Strand Larsen.

The Norwegian forward has been linked with the Peacocks over the last few weeks, with Wolves currently bottom of the Premier League.

Leeds, however, are not the only side vying to snap up the 25-year-old this window.

Strand Larsen to Crystal Palace looks advanced with a £50million fee already agreed, but Leeds are not out of the race yet.

It would take those at Elland Road hijacking the move to secure his signature, but if they decide to back down, their next move in the market has now been shared.

What is next for Leeds after Jorgen Strand Larsen chase?

If Leeds are unable to sign Strand Larsen, their next move has now been revealed.

Profit and Sustainability compliance has dampened Leeds’ position in the market, with the Whites not willing to go above £40m for the Norwegian.

However, an update on Leeds’ search for a forward has now been shared, and it looks to be a quiet end to the window in that department.

According to Sky Sports, Leeds are not desperate to sign another striker this window and that Strand Larsen was viewed as “a unique market opportunity” at Wolves’ original £40m asking price.

The information shares that there is no pressure at Elland Road to bring in another number nine in the winter transfer window.

Although Leeds do hold interest in Genk’s Oh Hyeon-gyu as the deadline approaches.

Who else could sign for Leeds before winter window shuts?

Other than Strand Larsen and now Oh Hyeon-gyu, the links with the Peacocks have been limited.

Harry Wilson remains of interest to Leeds, and with the Welshman yet to sign a new contract at the Cottagers and Oscar Bobb signing for the club, that could open the door for Daniel Farke’s side to make a move.

Fulham could be tempted to cash in on the winger now, rather than lose him for free in the summer.

Wilson, who has scored eight Premier League goals this season, will be in high demand, so Leeds must make sure they are prepared to sign him.

In terms of outgoings, Sebastian Bournaw looks set to stay at Leeds, while Joel Piroe has decided to hold off on ending his Elland Road spell.
