Largie Ramazani makes Leeds United exit decision as approach made

Leeds United attacker Largie Ramazani has been linked with an Elland Road exit in this summer’s transfer window.

The 24-year-old joined the Whites last summer and played 31 games for them in all competitions in the 2024/25 campaign.

He scored seven goals and provided two assists for Daniel Farke’s side and was a useful utility option.

Ramazani turns down Aris Thessaloniki approach

According to The Athletic (24 July), Greek club Aris Thessaloniki made an approach for Ramazani.

However, he decided to turn down a move to Aris along with other European clubs.

However, interest still remains in the Belgian, but he has fallen down in the pecking order with Jack Harrison’s return after his loan spell at Everton.

If Leeds are to sign Paixao, that will further hamper Ramazani’s chances of regular game time in the Premier League.

Leeds United could look to sell Ramazani

Leeds United’s promotion to the Premier League necessitates strategic squad decisions and selling Ramazani, rather than loaning him out, is critical for maximising financial and competitive outcomes.

The Belgian has shown promise with six goals and two assists in 29 Championship appearances but struggled for consistent starts.

His limited role, compounded by an ankle injury and competition from players, suggests he may not secure a regular spot in the Premier League.

Selling him now, with interest from a number of clubs, could recoup or exceed the initial investment, providing funds to bolster the squad with Premier League-calibre players.

A loan risks devaluing him further if he underperforms elsewhere, while a sale aligns with the Elland Road outfit’s need for a hard reset to ensure survival in the top flight.
