Kristensen medical on Friday as he signs contract to leave Leeds United
Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen is set to take part in a medical on Friday ahead of his proposed loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt, according to Tipsbladet.
The report (18 July) suggests that Kristensen is in Germany and will be ready to sign on the dotted line following the completion of his medical examination. From there, he’ll make the move to Frankfurt on a one-year loan deal with an option to buy.
It was noted on Thursday that Kristensen was on his way over from Yorkshire after a deal was agreed between the two parties (Florian Plettenberg, 18 July).
Kristensen’s exit ends long saga for Leeds United
When you fall short in the Championship play-off final, it’s to be expected that some big names will look elsewhere for grander opportunities. Plus, when you’ve got someone like Kristensen who spent last season out on loan with Roma, his return was likely going to be dependent on Leeds United getting back into the Premier League.

Alas, it hasn’t happened this time around, but at least now there’s a clear route forward. As opposed to worrying about what kind of transfer was going to be struck, Leeds can now focus on finding more defensive reinforcements for the campaign ahead.
As for Kristensen, it’s time to prove himself in an increasingly difficult German Bundesliga. If he can make the same mark that he has in the last few years, the 27-year-old could really put himself back on the map – with the hope being that Leeds can also hold up their end of the bargain.
