Kristensen lined up for £8.3m permanent Leeds exit, fee already agreed
Frankfurt are trying to get a discount on a permanent deal for Leeds United right-back Rasmus Kristensen, according to BILD Frankfurt.
The German newspaper reported via their print edition on 28 January (page 12) that Frankfurt are prepared to sign the 28-year-old on a full-time basis after being impressed by his form while on loan in the Bundesliga this season.
It is understood that Leeds and Frankfurt have already pre-agreed a £12.5million (€15m) fee for the Denmark international to leave permanently this summer.
However, it is understood that the German giants now want 33 per cent discount on that deal and will try to get Kristensen for £8.3million (€10m).
Leeds have chance to secure transfer profit
Even though Kristensen has been a bit of a flop for Leeds, the Whites do have the chance to make money on the Dane in the summer.
He was signed for around £10million in 2022 [Sky Sports], so if Frankfurt agreed to pay that option-to-buy fee of £12.5million, the Yorkshire club will make a small profit.
However, Frankfurt seem to know that Leeds’ PSR situation is a little bit iffy and they’ll also know that Kristensen is unlikely to be wanted at Elland Road and that he’s unlikely to want to stay there either.
Things like that can drive a price down.

All in all, Leeds would probably be thrilled if they break even on the former RB Salzburg right-back.
Kristensen played a major role in Leeds’ relegation from the Premier League and he clearly seems to do better on the continent, having bagged one goal and two assists in his last five Bundesliga outings for Frankfurt.
Get him off the books but don’t go too low.
In other Leeds United, it’s a done deal as Leeds agree a fee for a new goalkeeper.
