Kristensen decides on Midtjylland transfer from Leeds United with loan deal lined up

Rasmus Kristensen is set to join Eintracht Frankfurt from Leeds United after turning down an offer from Midtjylland, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper reported on 18 July, page 61, that the Danish outfit was keen on re-signing the 27-year-old.

The Denmark international has turned down his former club to pursue a transfer to one of Europe’s top leagues.

Now Kristensen looks set to move to the Bundesliga with Frankfurt favouring a loan deal while the Whites would prefer a permanent move.

Rasmus Kristensen set for Leeds United departure

Leeds look ready to let another star go in the summer transfer window while making limited additions to their squad so far.

It must be said that the Dane won’t represent a loss to Daniel Farke given that he spent last season on loan with Roma.

The Dane doesn’t want to play English second-tier football and has plenty of suitors who are playing in top European leagues.

A move to the Bundesliga suits Kristensen but the offer put on the table from Frankfurt needs to suit the Whites moving closer to the season.

If the 27-year-old can bring in a decent fee, this could allow Farke to reinvest in his squad ahead of a second season in the Championship.

With Archie Gray already out the door at Elland Road, full back options are going to be light and new signings will be necessary.

A move for Kristensen certainly makes sense for all parties and the Whites will be hopeful to push a deal forward quickly.
