Kris Moore set to leave Leeds United in January with Hibernian keen on loan – Joe Donnohue
Leeds United defender Kris Moore is set to join Hibernian on loan for the second half of the season, according to Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Joe Donnohue.
Writing on his personal Twitter account (2 January), the versatile defender is set to leave the club temporarily after agreeing a contract extension earlier this season until 2025.
Moore is widely considered to be ready for senior football after over 60 appearances for the Whites Under-21’s and with Hibs set to lose several first-team players in January they are looking to bolster their squad.
“Leeds United defender Kris Moore the subject of loan interest from Scottish Premiership side Hibernian,” he wrote.
“Edinburgh club losing a couple of defenders to AfCoN/Asian Cup. Moore has played CB, RB and LB throughout junior career at Leeds.”
Solid
Moore is a player that comes highly-rated but has become a victim of the strength in depth that Daniel Farke has at Elland Road.
His best position has been central defence but he is obviously behind all of Liam Cooper, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk and Charlie Cresswell as well as probably fellow youngster Diogo Monteiro.

So that makes a loan deal a great option for the player and for both parties, and if he gets to play regularly then it will only be a positive for his development and his future at Leeds.
It’s not often that players get a loan mvoe to top flight clubs so this should be a great experience for him and hopefully it will see him improve and mature.
If he is ever going to make it at Elland Road in the first-team then he needs to show what he’s capable of, and he likely won’t ever get a better opportunity than this to do exactly that.
