Kalvin Phillips transfer update emerges at Leeds United already
Fabrizio Romano has suggested that there is a possibility that Leeds United could resign Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
The Whites are currently preparing for their Play-Off final clash against Southampton at Wembley on Sunday (26 May).
Should Daniel Farke’s side secure promotion to the Premier League, reinforcements are going to be needed from the transfer market. This could see Phillips make an Elland Road return.
Speaking to JD Football on YouTube (23 May), Romano has now given his opinion on the future of the future of the Englishman.
He said: “Kalvin will leave.”
Romano was then asked: “Where do you think he’s going? Back to Leeds?”
He replied: “It depends, let’s see what happens with Leeds. Yeah, let’s see what happens with Leeds, it’s a possibility.”
Should Leeds United sign Kalvin Phillips?
Phillips is still a hero at Leeds despite him departing to join Manchester City and would be welcomed back with open arms.
After he departed Elland Road, the Whites went on to be relegated as they struggled without him and Raphinha’s influence.
The Englishman has gone on to win almost everything in just one and a half seasons at the Etihad as he won the treble under Pep Guardiola.
His trophy cabinet now features Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League and Super Cup medals in an impressive haul.
This came despite him playing just 31 games for the club over both seasons for the Citizens [FotMob] after his £45m move in 2022 [BBC Sport].

After a lack of regular minutes, he sealed a move to West Ham United where he was often left out by David Moyes.
If Leeds are promoted to the Premier League, a return to the club for Phillips could reignite his career with his boyhood club.
The Yorkshire Pirlo signing for Leeds in the summer would be a true statement of intent.
