Junior Firpo sends message as Leeds United exit now confirmed
Leeds United are set to revamp their squad as they prepare for Premier League football next season, and they have already confirmed their retained list.
Daniel Farke’s side won the Championship while amassing 100 points, but they will need reinforcements if they are to survive in the top-flight next season.
Leeds have a large squad, and players may now make way as several come to the end of their contracts.
Junior Firpo is one player who could end up departing as his deal expires at Elland Road, and he has already reacted to an exit announcement.

Firpo sends emotional message as Josuha Guilavogui leaves Leeds
Leeds signed Josuha Guilavogui on a free transfer in the middle of the season to cover injuries, but the midfielder was a bit-part figure throughout the campaign.
The Whites have now announced that the 34-year-old will depart as his contract runs out this summer, after 18 appearances for Leeds.
Guilavogui, formerly of Wolfsburg, will now depart as a free agent, and he was clearly well-liked within the squad, with his best work coming off the pitch.

Firpo has now sent an emotional message to the veteran following the announcement, via Instagram.
“Josh, I’ll miss you. In Spain, we call people like you ‘Persona de Luz’,” he posted on his story.
“This is what you mean to me. God bless you and your family. Love you, Jefe.”

Firpo could leave Leeds as well
Guilavogui will leave without too much fuss as a squad player who made a minimal impact, but the same cannot be said of Firpo.
The left-back was outstanding this season, registering 10 assists in the Championship as a crucial player in both defence and attack.
The 28-year-old is out of contract at Elland Road and has been linked with a move away despite Leeds’ promotion to the Premier League.
It would be a huge blow for Farke to lose the defender, and Leeds will have to find a suitable replacement if the former Barcelona full-back departs this summer.
Firpo and Guilavogui could be two of several players to leave this summer, and it will be a busy transfer window ahead.
