Junior Firpo is ‘Burning With Desire’ to leave Leeds United in January
Junior Firpo is “burning wiht desire” to leave Leeds United in the January transfer window and return to Spain’s La Liga, according to Sport.
The left-back has just returned from a serious injury and has made two appearances this season, coming on as a substitute in the win over Plymouth before starting the draw with Rotherham last week.
But with the January window approaching the Spain international is adamant he wants out of Elland Road in the winter window, with former club Real Betis interested in a loan-to-buy deal.

“Junior Firpo is burning with the desire to leave England to return to the Spanish League this winter market,” they wrote.
Shock
Anyone who has been paying attention over the last year to 18 months won’t be in the slightest bit surprised that Firpo wants out, and it’s not a shock the club would probably be open to his exit.
That was also the case in the summer when Phil Hay revealed the club wouldn’t stand in the way of him and his big wages leaving, before his injury put an end to any potential deal.

Daniel Farke has built the squad knowing that he likely wouldn’t have Firpo hence the signing of Sam Byram and the experiments with using Jamie Shackleton at left-back too.
Realistically we could demand a fairly decent fee for Firpo to leave the club permanently, and a loan would at least get his wages off the books and get an unhappy player out of the door too.
It’s something to keep an eye on between now and the end of January, but it wouldn’t be a big deal if it were to go through.
