Josuha Guilavogui to Leeds United transfer held up as contract details emerge
Leeds United are just waiting for EFL approval to officially announce the signing of Josuha Guilavogui, according to TBR Football.
The online outlet reported on 23 October that although sources have confirmed a deal for his transfer has been completed, it hasn’t yet been officially announced because of the EFL.
Guilavogui has agreed terms with the Whites until the end of the season and is Daniel Farke’s chosen candidate after holding talks with each of Cheikhou Kouyate, Cristoph Kramer and Francis Coquelin.

The injuries to Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev threw a real spanner in the works for Farke and Leeds’ title run.
The Whites are still well in the race to earn promotion from the Championship come the end of the season, but there’s no doubt that the absence of their defensive midfield duo will have an impact on the team.
Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell have both been stellar in their absence thus far but they can’t be relied upon to play every game.
Guilavogui can be used in both defensive midfield and at centre-back, which is beneficial to Leeds’ set-up at the moment as Max Wober also finds himself sidelined.

This left Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk as the West Yorkshire outfit’s only senior centre-backs and similarly to Rothwell and Tanaka, although the pair have been in good form, they can’t be relied upon to play every game.
The signing of the 34-year-old is a smart move by Leeds and could be one that helps maintain their run for the title by adding additional depth to their ranks.
In other Leeds news, Simon Grayson was blown away by what Pascal Struijk did in the Whites’ 2-1 win against Watford.
