Josh Sargent to quit Norwich as he decides on next move after Leeds transfer approach
Josh Sargent has made a decision on his next destination after news of Leeds United’s approach for the Norwich City striker.
Daniel Farke signed Sargent back in 2021 when he was in charge at Carrow Road, and the Whites have been linked with the American over the past few months.
The 28-year-old has scored 51 Championship goals across the last three-and-a-half seasons for Norwich, attracting a lot of attention from Premier League sides in that time.
Sargent looks set to leave the Canaries before the end of the winter transfer window, and has been refusing to play in the last two weeks as he tries to force a transfer.

Josh Sargent rejected Leeds approach
Leeds have been in the market for a new striker this month, with Farke hoping to add to his forward options before the deadline.
The Whites switched to a 5-3-2 system at the start of December, increasing the need for strikers in the squad.
While Farke has recently been playing with only one centre-forward in the past couple of games, he clearly wants the ability to be flexible.
According to TeamTalk, Leeds made an approach for Sargent back in December, and were exploring the possibility of bringing him to Elland Road.
However, the Norwich man has rejected a move to West Yorkshire, with his heart set on a switch to Toronto FC in the MLS.
Leeds move on to new striker target
Farke’s side have quickly moved on from the disappointment of missing out on Sargent, and are now working on a completely different option.
Leeds have had a bid rejected for Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, after lodging their first offer for the 25-year-old on Friday morning.
Rob Edwards’ side reportedly want £40million for their talisman, and the Whites’ first approach didn’t meet the asking price.
Strand Larsen has only scored one Premier League goal this season, but found the back of the net 14 times in the 2024-25 campaign, and has a number of teams tracking him.

The likes of Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham are also interested, so Leeds will have to move quickly if they want to get a deal over the line.
